Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

Wiser Life is a mobile application providing educational content based on Stoic philosophy, including daily lessons, reflective exercises, paraphrased writings of Seneca (whose works are in the public domain), and tools designed to support clarity of thought and emotional resilience.

Some content within the Service is generated or assisted by artificial intelligence. While we take care to ensure quality and accuracy, AI-assisted content may occasionally contain errors or inaccuracies. We do not warrant the completeness, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose of any content.

Wiser Life is for educational and reflective purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional mental health care, therapy, counselling, or medical advice.

Nothing in the Service constitutes medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or require professional support, please contact a qualified healthcare provider or emergency services immediately.

By using the Service, you acknowledge and accept that Wiser Life does not provide clinical services and that you use the Service at your own discretion and risk.

Certain features of the Service require you to create an account using your email address, a password, and a nickname. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
• Keep your password confidential and not share it with others
• Notify us immediately at hello@havewiserlife.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to reject or reclaim any nickname that is offensive, misleading, or violates these Terms.

Wiser Life offers a paid subscription on a monthly, auto-renewing basis. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method through Stripe on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card or payment details on our servers. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe’s terms of service and privacy policy.

Your subscription will automatically renew each month unless you cancel it before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the app or by contacting us at hello@havewiserlife.com.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to the Service until that date.

All fees are stated in the currency displayed at the time of purchase and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

All sales are final unless otherwise required by applicable law. Refunds are processed at our discretion or as required by Stripe’s refund policies and applicable consumer protection laws.

If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact us at hello@havewiserlife.com and we will review your request on a case-by-case basis.

The Service allows you to create and store personal content such as reflections, journal entries, and written responses (“User Content”).

You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content to the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and process your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

We do not share, sell, or use your User Content for any purpose other than operating the Service. Your reflections and journal entries are private to you.

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent that your User Content does not violate any applicable law or third-party rights.

All content within the Service — including but not limited to text, design, graphics, AI-assisted lessons, paraphrased writings, and the Wiser Life name and logo — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Paraphrased content derived from the works of Seneca is based on public domain source material. Our original creative expression of that material, however, is our property.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Scrape, harvest, or extract data from the Service by automated means
• Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if required by applicable law.

You may stop using the Service at any time. To request deletion of your account or personal data, please contact us at hello@havewiserlife.com.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will continue to apply.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant that any content is accurate, complete, or current.

Your use of the Service is entirely at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

The Service integrates with third-party services including Stripe for payment processing. Your use of such third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party services.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict of law principles.

If you have a dispute with us, we encourage you to contact us first at hello@havewiserlife.com so we can try to resolve it informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Poland.

If you are a consumer located in the European Union, you may also have the right to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you within the app or by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
